Chi-Ball is speculating that Mark Cuban was never in the running to buy the Cubs. Furthermore, they claim that Zell supposedly used Cuban to increase the value of the franchise... It is a believed by these sources that Zell has used Cuban all along to increase the bidding. Recent news suggests that the second and perhaps final round of bidding for the Chicago Cubs is just around the corner. Can Mark Cuban lead the next round of bidding? Most likely.
