February 25 Bracketology

It was so difficult to make this bracket. I re-examined all of my final at large teams by putting them into a table. I had narrowed it down to three teams left fighting for two bids. It came down to Syracuse, Ohio State, and Florida. The easiest tiebreaker is head to head, so I quickly moved Ohio State into the field after realizing they have already beaten Syracuse and Florida this season. Then I compared Florida and Syracuse's resumes. I think the Gators need 10 SEC wins to be considered and they only have one decent win so far (against Vanderbilt). Therefore I put Syracuse in…

February 24th Bracketology

It was a hard day to be a bracketologist. Just to break down a few things that changed in my bracket: Georgetown's win over Cincinnati, and Connecticut's 10 game winning streak coming to an end against Villanova caused many changes. First the Huskies and Hoyas swapped seed lines and then Villanova joined the field with their third straight Big East win. The way I look at it is if Syracuse is in the field (which most people agree they are) then Nova has to be also (same Big East record and a head to head win against the Cuse'). Texas takes the last No. 1 seed away from Kansas.…
