A description of who you are, which teams you like, etc. I am 39 years old, living in Southern California. I have been a die hard Dodger fan for more than 20 years. I even got to throw out the first pitch for a game once. There are very few things I'd rather do than read about baseball, talk baseball, listen to baseball, and do just about anything having to do with baseball. Obviously, I'm a huge Dodger fan, but, being originally from Western Pennsylvania, I'm also a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers!

In response to:Dodgers shopping for depthNomar Garciaparra will begin the season as the Dodgers' everyday third baseman. Andy LaRoche, who was expected to challenge Garciaparra for the job, instead will begin the season on the 15-day disabled list after he undergoes surgery Monday in Los Angeles to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament at the base of his right thumb. LaRoche is expected to miss eight to 10 weeks, after which he undoubtedly will need a minor-league rehabilitation assignment.
