It's been a long seven months since the 2006 Boston Red Sox gave up on The Nation. I can't remember which day it was exactly, but it was probably July 31st, 2006, when Jason Varitek was yaked after hurting his knee. The season ended right there.But this is a new year. New faces look promising. There a somewhat elderly yet stable veteran corps.
