I've continued to research the circumstances leading to the Quebec Athletic Commission (I know that is not what it is called, but it's easier) throwing a major wrench into the UFC machine. It would seem many fans are placing the brunt of the blame on Stephane Patry, the promoter of the Strike Box card that has been seen as something of a tipping point. However, I believe most of the blame should be placed on the ineptitude of the past and present members of the Quebec Athletic Commission. James Thompson deserves a little blame as well. I just returned from UFC 93 and have an interesting tidbit. As those who have attended a live event know, there is usually a 20 to 30 minute break between the preliminary and main card. I used this time to visit briefly with Alistair Overeem who along with Semmy Schilt caused quite a stir in the O2. I asked him when we'd see him in the Octagon and he replied, "I don't know but it might be sooner then you think." Fight Night 16 UFC Fights for the Troops

Here are a few quick numbers about Fight Night 16. But first I think it is important to say how great it is that the promotion is doing a show that will benefit the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. War fighters are much like UFC/MMA fighters in the sense that they are not typically blood thirsty maniacs who crave violence.
