The Giants rallied around their underdog status last year. Cyd Zeigler says Matthew Mitcham's gold medal is the greatest achievement from an openly gay athlete of all time. Zeigler said he wsa the only openly gay athlete in Beijing. They had to get a grant to send his partner to Beijing. And this was the only non-Chinese diver to win gold. But NBC ignored his sexual identity.

GOLF.com's Michael Walker says that the LPGA's English policy is un-American and unsportmanlike. Walker says that American leagues pride themselves on bringingin the best players because it's the best. The LPGA doesn't embrace that.
