Tim Gagen

Pretty much any sport interests me (minus track, jarts, swimming, and cross country, ok i'm kidding I like jarts). Being so close to Pittsburgh I am a huge Steelers and Penguins fan (I'm only a Pirates fan by location. It's tough trying to follow these guys for 15 years and never see them win and still say you're a fan). Houston Rockets are probably my favorite NBA team, T-Mac and Yao, I saw such great things for you...Why do you continue to disappoint me?...

Fortunately for the NHL they now get the matchup they have been dreaming since the two players have entered the league, Penguins vs. Capital in the playoffs.  This series has the potential to be the what Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson were to the Masters Event, a pairing of the NHL's two most exciting and greatest players.  The way the series could play out may provide just enough entertainment that even though the winner may not win the Stanley Cup, everybody will still be talking about this series and the excitement it brought. He plays the sniper role who can energize his team with his goal scoring and hit (in his offensive zone) opponents like it's nothing.During the past couple weeks, the MVP race has been brought up. During these discussions, I keep reading that Ovechkin will most likely win the award again. I can not seem to understand why he will probably win. The MVP is given to the most valuable player to his team, not best goal scorer in the league.…

This is not at all sad for me to type at all. After reading a report today that his agent said that no team wants to employ Bonds, I suddenly felt happy.  Bonds was never a team player. His time in Pittsburgh was me first and he proved that by bolting to San Francisco where the money was. He was on a winning team in Pittsburgh to spend 14+ years in San Francisco making it to the World Series once and losing.  I think what makes me happy seeing him out of baseball is that how greedy he is still being. He doesn't care what team he'd play for, he just wants to play and jack more…
