Come on Football

I'm a HUGE! LSU fan but enjoy College Football in general. Born in Louisiana, raised in Mississippi, college in Louisiana so I do follow the Mississippi State Bulldogs as well. I love the competition of the SEC and attend all LSU home and some away games. I also follow the Louisiana College Wildcats in Div. III. There's nothing like a Saturday night in Tiger Stadium. The tailgating isn't too bad either. I wish all college football fans could experience the atomosphere at least once. Sure, you'll be harassed by chants of "Tiger Bait" for a while but we'll invite you over, hand you a cold-beer and give you a big bowl of Jambalaya or seafood gumbo.

Well this is coming a little late since the game is over a week old but I wouldn't be doing our blog justice if I didn't treat the losses with equal recognition. The bottom line with this game is that only half of the team showed up to play that Saturday night. The defense was there and there in force. They held the Gators to a season low 13 points. As a matter of fact it was the fewest points scored by Florida since UM took over as head coach. I would give the Tiger defense and "A" for their performance.
Now to the offense. "F". I've heard the word anemic used several times when…

Tomorrow begins the meat of the Fighting Tigers schedule. They travel east to play the Georgia Bulldogs between the hedges. Many are scratching their heads over this game because neither team seems to have caught their rythm so far.
LSU is having great difficulty getting offense moving this year and the running and Offensive line seem to be the culprits. Teams are stacking 8-9 in the box against the Tigers and have been successful keeping the ground yardage low. Luckily Jordan Jefferson has improved on his down field passing evidenced by his 3 of 4 completions beyond 39 yds. There are…

As you know by now the Tigers defeated the Huskies in Seattle Saturday night. You would think that the LSU faithful would be happy with a win but as usual they are never satisfied. The Tiger held a two touchdown lead until literally the last second of the game where the Huskies scored on a short pass.
The biggest complaint coming from Tiger fans was the lack of defensive play. Many criticize the defense for allowing a team that did not win a game last year to remain so close during the game.  These fans may have a valid point. The team did not perform extraordinary for the contest but I…
