The finger generally points towards Clay Bennett when people ask who is to blame if the Sonics franchise relocates to Oklahoma City. Clay Bennett, the head of a Oklahoma City investment group which purchased the Sonics, has played a large role in what seems to be imperative departure of the Sonics from Seattle. Bennett began his ownership of the Sonics by announcing that he would "do a favor to the city" and keep the team in Seattle if the city built him a new stadium. He then sent the city of Seattle a proposal for a new stadium in Renton, a city about 15 minuets…
