Let me preface this post by saying that I am the anti Yankee fan. I like the Red Sox and I die with the Mets but I feel like the Yankees are getting a bad wrap from some of these people who are saying that the Yankees should not be spending so much money on the likes of CC Sabathia because our economy is in the tank. It seems like most of the people who are saying this are just Yankee haters who are obviously biased and just want to step unto a soap box so they can rip the Yankees once more. Today the Mets lost to the Pirates... AGAIN!. Today the Mets starting pitcher (Pedro Martinez) had a lead leaving the game and the bullpen blew the lead... AGAIN! Yet the worlds greatest general manager (from now on will be reffered to as WGGM) swears to god that everything is fine, and no need to worry Mets fans! WGGM feels that it is ok for a bullpen to win hmmm... about 50% of the games that are handed to them and thats why they didn't need to make a move at the trading deadline. Sounds like the WGGM to me too.Mets,

Yesterday the U.S.A looked pretty good against a heavily favored Netherlands team. One player in particular shined out and that was Freddy Adu the 18 year old looked simply marvelous and could not be stopped by the Dutch. For the first time in memory the U.S. looks like it has a player that it can rely its World Cup futures upon for years to come.
