Maybe Marte will turn things around but it seems that he cant handle the pressure of pitching in a big city like New York. Marte showed promise in his first appearence against the Red Soxs David Ortiz by striking him out but he was also coming off a injury. Since then Marte has been anything but impressive. Coming into tonights game against the Texas Rangers Marte had a 5.40 ERA. I know he has only pitched 3.1 innings but he does not look like the dominant reliver he was with the Pirates. I was thrilled to learn that Manny Ramirez was finally traded from the Boston Red Sox. Not only did he leave the Red Sox but he also left the American League which means he will never play against the Yankees untill maybe the playoffs. Manny was batting over .400 in his last 30 or so games aginst the Yankees and has been a Yankee killer his whole tenure with the Red Sox. Dodger fans should be just as thrilled as I am because even though I am a Yankee fan Manny is one of the best hitters in the game. Jets making the playoffs?

I believe that the Jets will be able to turn things around this year and make the playoffs. They will most likely make it as wild card team and probably barely making it in (having to rely on certain scenerios such as having a certain team lose) however all you have to do is make it there ex. Giants. The Jets were able to make big moves in offseason by both adding and getting rid of certain players to make them a much improved team.
