One of the more spirited discussions going on surrounding baseball right now is the question of who is deserving of the NL MVP. Cases are being made for a number of candidates, and even more interestingly, cases made against some potential choices. One of the annual discussions most baseball fans will have at some point is about who should be in the Hall of Fame. For the most part, those enshrined have either made significant contributions to the game or played at a level far and above the average player. And when the annual ballot comes out around November, it's fun to consider who you would select as your 10 candidates if you were so honored as to have a vote. No one would disagree that NY fans are irrational. I recently wrote in a post that Yankees fans would thorw A-Rod under a bus in a heartbeat everytime he fails to come through in every single clutch situation he is in. Yankee fans hate A-Rod. Spare me the "true Yankee" crapola. All he's done in 4+ seasons in NY is win 2 MVP awards. He single handedly got them to the playoffs last year, even if his playoff stats weren't up to expectations.
