What Don't the Big 10 Fans Get?

I will go ahead and admit to this right off the bat, I am writing this as an SEC fan. Now that I have that out of the way, here is my question.......Why do the Big (1)10 fans get so offended about their weak conference when it is brought up in conversation? Right now there is only one consistently strong team in the entire conference. That is Ohio State. In the second tier you have Wisconson and ?????????????? This is my point.
