Prominent columnists and my friends alike have ripped the Bears’ movements over this current offseason. And while no one can be sure of anything really util the games are played, I, as a (hopefully) reasoned thinker and a Bears fan, contest these negative views. They decry the perceived reckless frugality of the front office in dealing with Lovie Smith and Lance Briggs, scrutinize the lack of return for the Thomas Jones trade, bemoan the losses suffered in free agency, and rally against the decision to let Ron Rivera go elsewhere.
