Okay, I'm from Detroit. Most of my friends are automotive engineers (I'm in dental/medical operations). The opening skit of SNL tonight basically said "All american cars are garbage, and the Big 3 is totally useless and lead by idiots" **** you SNL. In most vehicle classes, the big 3 each puts a car in the top 5 for first past quality and long term quality evaluations. Sorry that the Big 3 hasn't decided to drop their pension packages and the union legacy costs that are keeping them in the red. Let GM go under, enjoy the 1.5 MILLION jobs that…

And the 2008 Michigan Football season comes to a predictable end, losing 42 - 7 to THE Ohio State University. I will carry on with my optimism, although my enthusiasm for defending RichRod has started to wane. The running game today had it's moments, with basically no threat of passing. Obviously the team can be built as a running game force, even against the mighty defenses of like Ohio State and Penn State. And I have to assume that once Michigan has a RichRod QB with any balance of skill, the big plays will come. My new fear is the defense. Part of the…

I think Trent Edwards concussion a few weeks back cost him his ability to play quarterback. Seriously, I think 50% of his passing yards today are to Lynch. Not that I am complaining (have Lynch on 2 of 3 fantasy teams). Nothing effective down the field, no shots to Lee Evans. The browns should be playing 9 men in the box right now. Quinn has been effective with time. Long term, the Browns would be better off building around Quinn and the O line. I think Quinn will be effective long term with good protection, even with mediocre receivers.
