Thank you for allowing me to state the obvious: Ohio State is no offensive juggernaut. If this were the analogy section of the SAT's, the Buckeye's are to college football what Luke Walton is to the NBA...offensive lepers. Sunday marked the third time in 2008 that OSU failed to score an offensive touchdown. Against their two biggest opponents this season, the Buckeye's didn't scored a touchdown at all (the only top 25 team with this dubious distinction). Their aforementioned struggles resulted in an offense ranked 95th in the country and, uh, a BCS ranking of #12? What a regrettable…

Best Sports Number of All Time?

A frequent topic amongst my friends has always revolved around which sports number is the greatest of all-time, a topic which heats up exponentially when beer is added to the mix. Of course, how one defines what constitutes the "best number" ultimately leads to more debate, until beer becomes more important than consensus and the topic is tabled for the next week. The Best 1-Loss College Football Teams

Predictably (and unfortunately), USC is the highest ranked one loss program in the country right now, coming in at 9th overall. This despite losing to an unranked Oregon State team. At the same time, one loss Georgia comes in at 11th even though they lost to the 8th ranked team in the country. Auburn at 13th with only a loss to LSU (currently ranked 3rd). So who's really the best one loss team in the country? It's early in the season and perhaps premature at this point to know for sure, but here's my picks.
