Joe PaternoJoe Paterno passed away yesterday, January 22nd, 2012, at the age of 85. Paterno was the head coach of Penn State University for 46 years. He has over 400 wins as a coach, two National Championships, 24 bowl victories, and took over a Penn State team that had little to no notoriety. He took a team that was not even on the map in college football and made into an elite program. While I am not a Penn State fan, I hold a great deal of admiration for Coach Paterno for what he did on the field. However, his coaching dominance of college football is being overshadowed. Jerry…

Fellow TD'ers, Moderators, and Distinguished guests.
Many times I have come on to this site for the purpose of sports entertainment. More than half the time I end up seeing garbage TD's that make absolutely no sense what so ever. I see TD's not being argued to the best of their ability. I see comments that to be honest make me cringe sometimes.

NCAA Its time for a playoff

I know, I know. Oh man another "We need a NCAA Football playoff" Well before you start to say anything. Here me out on this one. I debated putting this in a Throwdown but thought it may turn into a Blog, so here we are.

Assuming Cincinnati beats Pittsburgh next week, and Florida defeats Florida State today. It is almost guaranteed that we will have 5 undefeated teams in College Football this season.

Florida or Alabama
Texas
Texas Christian
Cincinnati
Boise State

The polls have it right in my opinion having all six of these teams in the Top 6. But what about having these teams…
