Haikus are great. They can teach one a lot about life and how to live it. The uniformity in a haiku must be respected. Order is very important, for you are only allotted so many syllables. Rhyme, on the other hand, is not. Rhyming is for kids, like that cereal with the rabbit on the box. However, if the rhyme allows for a fluid, comprehendible poem, then kudos to you.
