Don't think I'm a fool when I say this... Jake Peavy could be a New York MET by the time this offseason is all said and done. I know he apparently hates New York and granted the Mets aren't in his T-Mobile top 5 but hear me out. First off that statement that Jake Peavy "hates" New York came from an Atlanta writer not Peavy's mouth. Now that I pretty much can assume that the Yankees will throw everything but the bank at CC Sabathia to sign him and Jake Peavy looks like he's getting closer and closer to being with his hunting buddy Oswalt in Houston or becoming another headache for the Mets who could be shipped to NL East rival, the Atlanta Braves. It looks like Derek Lowe will be a New York Metropolitan. Lowe wants to pitch on the East side in 2009 and it looks like it will be his old team the Red Sox and the Mets trying to sign the "Ace". He also wants a 3 year contract not 9 or whatever ridiculous amount Sabathia wants.…

The World Series is over and now players are able to file for free agency. This year unlike last year where Carlos Silva was the number one pitcher on the market, who made 48 Million over a four year contract, this offseason there are some serious talents for the taking.
