After posting their eight staight win against COL the Mets have climbed to a 1/2 behind rivals PHI. Tell me a month ago that the Mets would win eight straight i would look at you and tell you to get help immediatley but now i am willing to admit this is one hell of a run. All year I've been hearing about the selected stars of College Basketball. Stars like Tyler Hansbrough of North Carolina, Eric Gordon of Indiana, DeMarcus Beasley of Kansas St., as well as Kevin Love of UCLA but I did my own scouting and discovered some players that maybe under the radar but really shouldn't be. After seeing the giants beat the Bucs 'Boys and Packers i kind of notice something. Shockey isnt needed. Eli has been playing great without having to listening to Shockey complain about not getting the ball. Now Eli can look down field for Amani ( who also has been playing well after Shockey got hurt ) and Plaxico as well as rookie WR Steve Smith and rookie TE Kevin Boss who has done a tremendous job of taking Shockeys spot.
