The Giants signed Brad Penny on Monday. Wow, good move or bad, I'm just not sure. In his last outting, against the Yankees, he got drilled, 4 innings, 10 hits, 8 runs, all earned. He must have something left in the tank, his fast ball reached 96 mph, with no movement though, hence the reason he got drilled. Penny, 31, was 7-8 with a 5.61 ERA with the Red Sox this season and is
101-83 in his career. He will make a prorated minimum salary with the
