It was great to see baseball highlights from the first Spring Trainings games being played yesterday. It brought a big smile to face and turned my offseason frown upside down. Opening Day is just about a month away. And though it's not a national holiday as it should be, I will be taking that afternoon off to watch some baseball. My local team, the Dodgers, open the season on the road but I'll also be attending their home opener even though it's a week day and at 1pm. Countdown to pitchers and catchers reporting

It's about 25 days until pitchers and catchers are due to begin reporting to camp for Spring Training.Everyday on XM radio they have the countdown to the magic day of getting the season officially underway and I love it. Can't wait. Me and my baseball going friends are already discussing which season ticket plan we're going to get this year. Looks like we're leaning towards a 21-game plan at old Chavez Ravine.
