What's next? Who else will we call "the latest and greatest to fall"?By now, everyone is well aware of the tragic fall of David "Big Papi" Ortiz from grace. The cuddly slugger with his big smile and bigger moonshots was a icon for baseball. Bud Selig once referred to baseball as being in a "Golden" era and that Ortiz was at the center of that era.And today? The Playoffs Need to Change

It occurred to me recently that something was very awry in the NFL postseason. When a team with a great record (the Patriots) has to sit at home while other teams (Cardinals, Eagles and Chargers) with less than stellar records play on something definitely has to change.This year the New England Patriots are the NFL's only team with a .600 winning percentage not in the playoffs. How did this happen?
