Wasn't before because of his pastantics (crying and telling us what his daughter said or "advised" him about unretiring. . . that sort of thing) but now I would have to say that I am now impressed with Mr. Brett Favre (at least for the moment). The way he was able to go into that hostile atmosphere of Lambeau Field, shake off the boos, other Packer fan rantings; a defense that was emotionally gunning for him speaks volumes to anyone no matter what one may think of him.

I was reading an article on SI yesterday about the upcoming training camps. (let's hear it for the forlorned two-a-days; man, at least teams like the Cowboys will be practicing indoors--at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Tx.) Being one myself (or at least getting pretty close)--48, Tom Watson is due for some props for what he was able to accomplish at Turnberry. Even though it didn't come out the way he had expected.
I didn't watch any of the rounds myself. . . just listened to reports on the radio and saw a few hilights on the tube. So no doubt I was pretty intrigued by what was happening with Mr. Watson. I had heard that he was faltering in the fourth; and from hearing the reports in a haphazard way, I assumed he was completely out of it at the end. Didn't know that there was a playoff and that he was in it.
