Gir isn't stupid, he's ADVAAAANNNNCED! Yes, something is broken and it's not my fault, scary, isn't it? And no, I don't know what the G stands for. MUSSST OBEEEY THE TACO MAAAAAAN! I need taco's, I need them bad or I will asplode... that happens to me sometimes. I bleed Green and Gold, with a little navy blue mixed in there. Though I tend to be more of an overall sports fan, I will watch football or hockey no matter who is playing.

I haven't had much to say on the state of sports in awhile, having generally felt disillusioned with the whole sordid mess where talk of arrests and behavior outstrip talk of teams and performance.  That being said I felt I wanted to offer my perspective on Michael Vick, because the argument that is going on about whether he should play or not is missing something fundamental in my humble opinion... Some say that the nature of his crime is heinous enough that he shouldn't be allowed to play, others say that he deserves a second chance.  The problem, as I see it, is that no-one…

They don't need to do any extra work to hype it if it's really that good.  For the record I think MOST of sports is overhyped.  Super Bowl and NCAA Tourney Time being the biggest culprits.  If you go back 5 years, you'll see what I mean... the Tourney was still great for BBall fans, but there was less of the 24/7 crush.  It's not the Tourney itself that ultimately is to blame, but this insane news cycle that doesn't end.This level of information is simply unnecessary and invasive, but I fully expect most people to disagree with me.  I don't…

Arrrrrgh, two more weekends of this?  Really? I know it's like farting in the wind, but I am so tired of this 'madness'.  It's overhyped, poorly officiated, and one or another group of fans is going to be shouting in outrage over something or other.  Goodness gracious people, it's a SPORTING EVENT.  Treat it as such, all this ravenous feeding frenzy is just stupid, save it for stuff that really matters and take the time to enjoy the competition instead. Now that that's out of the way, the Ice Hockey tourney is all set up to roll, and…
