Real Madrid seems to have run into some problems in this campaign. In the Spanish Premier League they are trailing there arch rivals Barcelona. In the Champions League matches, they haven't lived up to there potential yet, and in the league cup matches so far they have been flat. In the summer of 2009, they spent more money than any other team on the planet, in order to get Christiano Ronaldo, Kaka, and Kareem Benzema, among others that were signed.
