Because I was Yankees fan since time immemorial, despite never having been there until 2004, and I was a sports reporter who befriended Larry Bird and Robert Parish, which led to my fan-dom of the team itself. Insane, blasphemous...dispicable to some, but I'm all about both teams, and I love both cities, too.
