As we arrive at the All-Star break, the Thunder have finished the first leg of the season on a six game win streak, finishing with a 30-21 record. Currently they sit at 5th place in the treacherous Western Conference. I think it's safe to say that no one expected this. When asked how many wins the Thunder would amass this season, people would guess anywhere from 25 to 35. Even the Diehards who claimed 40 wins as a possibility knew they were way out on a limb. Serge-ing Rookies!

OKC Thunder rookies James Harden, Serge Ibaka and Eric Maynor are contributing in big ways to help the Thunder go from the Western Conference basement to the hottest up and coming team in the league. The mid-season acquisition of Maynor for essentially nothing was a great move and is another sign of how well the Thunder management is building this team.

Federer might be a Robot

Last night I watched what was probably the best quality tennis match I've seen in my lifetime. Roddick vs. Federer at the US Open. Neither were broken in the entire first two sets, which were both ultimately decided by tie-breakers. Andy Roddick played the best he can play and still wasn't good enough to beat "Flawless Fed." Roddick hit great shot after great shot, shots that would have been winners against anyone else and somehow Federer would get to them and hit a shot of equal or better quality. He makes it look easy.
