Yesterday Joe Torre talk to the media and explain why he turn down the Yankees offer of a 1 year contract worth $5 million a year with incentives depending on how far the Yankees go in the playoffs. Joe said that the offer was an insulted to him, and that he feel that he was not wanted. He also said that the money was not an issue but the length of the deal was to him. To me I wanted Joe back as the manager. The players wanted him back, the fans for the most part wanted him back, but the people in the organization don't. In case you didn't know, WVU's defense: Points Against: 7th (17.6) Yards/Game: 6th (298.0) Passing: 16th (195.0) Passing TDs: 18th (13) INTS: 25th (16) Air FDs: 9th (96) Rushing: 13th (103.0) Average: 10th (2.9 YPC) Rushing TDs: 20th (11) Ground FDs: 14 (71) Those numbers are far from "horrible" and I doubt teams will "score at will". If anyone would score at will in that game it's WVU. Over 41 PPG, almost 475 yards/game, and converted over 50% of their 3rd Downs
