As Cowboys/Skins weekend approaches the fact that Portis is still nursing a concussion will benefit which team? Portis' production has been questioned this season. Is Betts the bigger threat to bring a big game? They have a 4.0 and 3.9 avg/carry respectively so on paper they look the same. Portis is helped by a 78 yard carry so his avg is in fact a bit less. USA Today gave an 11 point spread for Dallas at home. SI Power Rankings, offense and defense? What do they mean

I'm not talking about Bank's rankings, those are his thoughts. I am talking about the Offensive (O) and Defensive (D) ranking assigned to your team in the little bar at the top of your team site or better yet scroll half way down on the left and below NFC East standings is your teams stats.

In this case Dallas is 4th in the Division (20th in the league) in yards allowed/game but 1st in points allowed. SI assigns the power ranking for D based on points and makes Dallas 7th in the league. For years the metric of a Defense has been yds/game. When did this change?

Giants on the Bye and they need a break. Defense according to NFL network stats in last 4 weeks is dead last in points allowed in the NFL (taking only the last 4 weeks into account).

After the bye is Atlanta, Denver, Dallas, Eagles....all four with winning records!

Giants get the Falcons in NJ and that is a must win in my opinion. With the Broncos the subsequent week AT Denver the Giants cannot afford to let the Falcons out of NJ with a win.

Losing to the Falcons and possibly Denver will doom Coughlin and the team to a huge meltdown and the season will be out of hand.
