I am a transplanted Red Sox fan living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas. I follow the Sox faithfully, thank you XM and MLB.TV. I am also a Bruins fan, thanks again XM (reminds me of when I was a kid listening to games on AM radio), though I follow the Stars more since they are right here. Fan of the Celtics but haven't had much to cheer about lately. Football, I bleed Silver and Black from the days of Jim Otto, Daryle Lamonica, and George Blanda. Regardless of never winning the Super Bowl I think John Madden was the best coach the team ever had.

Well from the looks of our poll we should be trading Willy Mo Pena (17 votes) versus trading Coco Crisp (6 votes).  A quick look at the stats would seem to support the rationale for this opinion.  While Crisp is not a power hitter, he seems to be the more versatile of the two.So now the lingering question...who, or what position, should the Sox target in return for Pena?  I have seen some suggestions, insane as they might be, that we package Jon Lester and Willy Mo in exchange for Rich Harden.  Are you kidding me?!?  Rich Harden is the second coming of Carl…

Wow!  What a week!  Two twin bills (thank you Mother Nature), some excellent (and timely) pitching, and a big boost to the offense.  And hey, what ever Mike Lowell is eating, I'll have a double order please!!  I said last Monday that I expected to Sox to be 5 - 2 for the week but it definitely came about in some unexpected ways!  How about the start that Julian Tavarez had on Thursday?  And did you see Kason Gabbard yesterday?  How would you like to see that southpaw in the starting rotation someday?  Maybe next year?  Maybe this year?The week…

Okay folks, Julian Tavarez just worked out of a jam in the top of the third so here is my mid-week rant:In the May 12th Truth & Rumors section there was an article regarding Willy Mo Pena's trade value was plummeting.  One person actually commented that Willy Mo Pena is the next Manny Ramirez.  Once I stopped laughing and composed myself, I put some quick numbers together and responded to the post.  I noted the differences between the two as far as AVG, HR, SO and was rebutted with the statement that Manny was just like him as well.  Give me a…
