After dissecting a lot of hoops over the past few weeks, including the Tennessee-Memphis Volunteer State showdown Saturday night, here is how I would rate the eight true National Title contenders in hoops. 1. North CarolinaStrengths: Tyler Hansbrough is a beast down low. Stephenson and Thompson contribute to create a huge front line. Thanks for the comment on the blog. we have four shooters: Raja, Barbosa, Giricek, and Nash. Don't think needing a shooter is the problem. I agree about needing a versatile defender on the wing, but it def wont be Josh Smith...unless he wants to play for about 2 million per year. It's stupid at this point to keep Nash and Shaq, because with the cap situation we cant add any high impact players and its a VERY unlikely scenerio that the team how it is now will win a championship...So get what you can out of Nash and Shaq because their value and abilities are only gonna go down from now on.
