Last year, Arkansas punted to Vanderbilt and the Vandy player called for a fair catch. Waving his arm twice, he ran three steps forward, got under the ball, and sustained a crippling hit from a Razorback running full speed. The Arkansas player who dealt the blow that caused a concussion and injured the Commodore claimed that he thought the player had already caught the ball.
