What a year it has been for college football. The first BCS standings have been released, just three of the AP preseason top-10 teams (#4 LSU, #5 Oklahoma, #9 West Virginia) remain ranked in the top-10. This season has gone from: #5 Michigan losing to 1-AA Appalachian State at the Big House in week one, five top-10 teams losing in week five, #1 USC losing to Stanford at home, and finally, week six saw the #1 and #2 teams (LSU and Cal) in the country losing tight games.Now, I have to admit that normally when Texas has early losses in the season I could care less about what else is going on in…

Good day to be a Texas fan. Finally, the Longhorns play a bad team and make them look even worse. Coming into the game Iowa State was averaging 350 yards a game and about 12 points. After 60 minutes, the Longhorns finished off the Cyclones by 53 and hold them to 228 yards with just three points; both season lows. Colt McCoy looked like the scrawny little kid from last year, having fun, making acrobatic moves in the backfield, and finding the open man. I read that Terrelle Pryor is the #1 recruit in the nation, but I don't know if we'll get him since he is from Pennsylvania and he is also being recuited by Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Florida. I think that he would be reminiscent of Vince young because Pryor is also a dual-threat quarterback. There's lot of info on him on Rivals.com

What do you think about playing John Chiles more, in a rotation with Colt? I know the two-quarterback system hardly ever works well, but I really think that Chiles should have more playing time.
