O.K. Im not a Steelers fan at all but have a lot of friends that are. Why would they even consider a mascot? The Steelers represent the NFL as a tough guy image and now they have there little cartoon mascot running around. Steely McBeam are you kidding me! Ive changed my name in my fantasy football league to Steely McBooger. This is just very funny to me and other non Steeler fans. So to you Steelers fans please send the organization letters to get rid of this thing. If you are a Steelers fan and like Steely please let me know why?

To those who are criticizing these misguided kids let's remember this. These problems affect many teams, not just WVU. The only difference is that Rich Rodriguez does not tolerate the behavior. He doesn't do the "let's wait and see the evidence before I make a decision" dance like pro football teams and other college coaches use. Fact of the matter is, the WVU coach warns his players they will be punished and he carries through with that promise.

Nice comments. Let us not forget the rule changes to make basketball more of a spectator sport, or the uniform changes to make the playas look less ghetto. Oh, by the way, what about the great plastic basketball debacle of last year without seeking the players association's input. You're fired.
