Where've I been? Can't say, really, but I'll tell you all about this madman time I had between Darren Sharper's Pick-6 and March Madness before I got pretty run-down and I had to come out here and take it easy for a while. All I can say is there was wine and loose pheromones and a whole lot of regrets over toothpaste preferences. It wasn't pretty, but it was a story, and that's all that matters. Stay tuned.

Seems like the Roman Empire is alive and well in the Big Easy, where Drew Brees has just channeled the spirits of Constantine and the bad guy from Gladiator. Don't believe me? Check it out:Julius Caesar by way of Elton John With a little bit of "Charlie Manson Stare" thrown in to keep the masses in check. Sources say Brees' headpiece was crafted by a couple from Mobile, AL. Glad to see the Emperor put his subjects to work. So, what's the over/under that the Super Dome gets renamed "The Colosseum"? And no Pompeii jokes, please.

Raiders Have No Intention of Losing Janikowski, Seymour

The Contra Costa Times reports that the Oakland Raider front office intends on using its franchise tag on Richard Seymour, which would result in a $12 million payday for the DT/DE. As for Sebastian Janikowski, the Raiders will be looking to lock up the former FSU kicker long-term, but are not ruling out the use of their Transition Tag, which would guarantee SeaBass a $2.629 million contract.For the Raiders, locking down their most potent offensive weapon should be tantamount, especially if the team plans on riding the JaMarcus Russell experiment through to the bitter end.On D, Seymour…
