In what has been two of the most sad-sap franchises in the NFL over about the past 10 years, the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders, who would've thought that both of them would become media darlings and playoff contenders in the same season after unuusually long playoff malaises for the 2 proud franchises?
