After a less than auspicious beginning last weekend, with woeful performances by Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas and Texas A&M, its BCS crunch time for the Big-12 Conference. In order to earn style points in national perception, the Big-12 must overcome an extremely poor performance in Week #1. Oklahoma looked stout in its victory last weekend, that is until you realized it was North Texas - undergoing a major coaching change. In college football, first impressions are everything. If you don't believe this, just ask Wolverine Nation, who is soul searching this weekend trying to find a way to salvage their season; and it's only week one. Florida State is hopelessly on the same page, for now, but I wouldn't question the opportunity for television and the BCS Godfathers to hook the two teams up in January during Bowl season.
