Congrats to Barry Bonds on a very memorable record breaking homer number 756**A number almost certainly inflated my steroid use. Thank you to Sports Illustrated who gave us a year by year picture of Barry so that even his biggest fan can take notice of the abnormal growth in muscle and head size he has sustained over his career.Well, sports fans, we'll be able to tell our children we remember it, and then to insert our own opinions.

This post is dedicated to the three biggest milestones in baseball these past two days (coinciding quite neatly with my return to America and the sports pages). The most important to most of the world is of course Barry Bonds' 755th homer, tying him with Hank Aaron. I was hoping that would never come, because not only do I believe that Bonds used steroids, but also that it was somehow a record that should never have been broken. Sorry it's been so long since I've written, I'm in Israel for the summer and it's hard to get to a computer. That basically means that I'm in the dark as to most sports information that I wish I knew. \as far as I can tell, my Mets were muddling along until the All Star break but may be showing signs of life. This is good for me because if i were home and had access to all the news I would be tearing my hair out, but for now I'm OK. I like your blogs and understand that you see stuff through orange and blue glasses. I am also a big Mets fan, but I can't read through orange and blue glasses. Please change the background color and lettering color to the normal black and white so it is easier to read.
